Dhawan becomes first Indian to score a century before lunch on first day of a test match. Before this no Indian batsman did this. The previous record of highest score in first session of day 1 by an Indian was of Virendra Sehwag who missed his century by just 1 run and scored 99* against West Indies in Gros Islet in 2006.
